PRP+ eye drops are created from your own blood using our proprietary high-concentrate platelet lysate formula, which maximizes the beneficial growth factors that help heal and protect your eye’s surface. PRP+ eye drops closely mimic your natural tears, without the preservatives, additives, or stabilizers common in artificial eye drops.
How do I get started? Where is the clinic located?
You’ll need a referral or prescription from your health care professional. After that, book a blood draw appointment through our website or through our app. Blood draw appointments take place at our clinic located at 99 Wayne Gretzky Pkwy, 4th Floor, Brantford, ON N3S 7P1. You can check in at the front desk of St. Paul Family Health which is located on the 4th floor. Once your blood is processed, we’ll let you know when your personalized treatment is ready for pick-up or application. Typically treatments are available within 2 business days.
What do I need to do to prepare for my appointment?
Day Before & Day Of Your Appointment: Drink plenty of fluids and eat nutritious meals both the day before and the day of your blood draw. Staying hydrated and properly nourished helps ensure we can easily collect the required amount of blood.
During Appointment: When you arrive, please go to the 4th floor and check in at the front desk. A clinician will collect vials of blood. Afterward, we'll ask you to wait approximately 15 minutes while our clinic team confirms your sample is sufficient for processing.
After your Appointment: We'll notify you as soon as your personalized PRP+ eye drops or other treatments are ready—typically next business day! You can conveniently complete your payment through the app or in person, and then pick up your eye drops or treatment at our clinic.
Does it hurt to get the blood drawn?
You’ll feel a quick pinch, similar to any standard blood draw. The entire process is usually very brief, and we take every measure to keep you comfortable.
How soon will I notice relief?
Some patients feel benefits within days or weeks, while others may need more time. Chronic or long-standing conditions often require a longer course of treatment or additional interventions. Consistent use is key.
Are there any side effects to the eye drops?
Side effects from PRP+ eyedrops are generally rare and often mild. Some people may notice temporary irritation or redness after use, but these symptoms typically resolve quickly. Because PRP+ is derived from your own blood, the risk of serious side effects like infection is considered very low. If you have any concerns regarding this, please contact us and/or your eye care specialist.
Stop using and call the clinic immediately if:
- You notice pain, redness, swelling, or new discharge in your eye(s)
- You have any sudden change in vision
Can I share these eye drops?
No. These are custom-made for you and should never be shared.
How do I store PRP+ eye drops, and how long do they last?
Once you receive your drops, store them immediately in your refrigerator as instructed. Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use. Discard after the “Use by” date on your label or if it becomes cloudy, discoloured, or develops an unusual smell. Generally, you will be given a supply that can last up to 30 days.
Remember: Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye, skin, or any surface. Close the bottle tightly after each use.
Can I use the PRP+ eye drops with my contact lenses?
In most cases, PRP+ drops can be used alongside your existing regimen. Always check with your doctor or ask our clinical team if you’re unsure. When it comes to contact lenses, remove them before applying eye drops.
